Crash Bandicoot in the GA-HQ Video Game Character DB
Crash Bandicoot is the main protagonist of the same named 3D Platformer series that was created by Naughty Dog in 1996. Crash Bandicoot also got its own Kart racing spinoff series starting with Crash Team Racing (1999). The Crash Bandicoot games were developed by Naughty Dog, funded by Universal and mainly published by Sony. However, Universal got the IP rights and sold them to Activision later. Activision developed a couple CB games later which were more or less successful but never reached the success of the first games. Crash Bandicoot celebrated a little return through his inclusion in Skylanders Imaginators (2016). The first three Crash Bandicoot games are also getting remastered for the Playstation 4 in 2017. Crash Bandicoot himself was often seen as the inofficial Sony Playstation Mascot. During the Playstation Experience event in December 2016, the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy (2017) was finally shown after Crash Bandicoot 1-3 Remasters were announced at the E3 in the same year. Crash Bandicoot celebrated a great Comeback with Crash Bandicoot 4: Its about Time released in 2020. |

Crash Bandicoot drawn for the Game-Art-HQ Video Game Character Database
Crash Bandicoot was (still is) one of my favourite video game characters that debuted on the first Playstation, and while especially the first game was (still is) damn hard, it was a worthy challenge to beat all the levels, the bosses and finding all the gems. Crash Team Racing was (still is) the probably best alternative to Mario Kart ever and really needs to get a great sequel or a remake by the guys who also made the N Sane Trilogy a success story in summer 2017.

Crash was drawn by Xyvernartworks as his second contribution to our game character db project after he worked on the big Pokemon Tribute with multiple submissions already. I recommend to have a look at his gallery on dA where he shares a ton of great artworks of a wide array. He also accepts commissions sometimes, so if you like his style, just contact him there!
