Oichi is a playable character in the Sengoku Basara series and based on the female historical figure in the late Sengoku period. She debuted as a part of the story and a non-playable boss officier in Sengoku Basara 2 (2006) and became a playable character in Sengoku Basara 2 Heroes (2007). Oichi returned in all other Sengoku Basara games as a playable character including the two spinoff games Sengoku Basara X (2008) and Sengoku Basara Sanada Yukimura-den (2016). Oichi is the younger sister of one of the main antagonists in the series, Oda Nobunaga. She uses a Naginata as her weapon in Sengoku Basara 2 but her playstyle changed in Sengoku Basara 3 (2010) when her new weapons, the Dark Hands were introduced. In many of her animations it looks like these hands are controlling Oichi. |
