#023 Ekans used Glare and Acid!
Ekans used Glare by Kiriko-Windgeist
Kiriko-Windgeist is one of the handful German artists that participated in our Pokémon Tribute so far. She drew the male Nidoran as well as Ekans. Like myself she likes Wolves and created a lot of art related to these beautiful animals.

Glare is a Normal-type move that deal no damage but can stun/paralyze the opponent. Its accuracy was 75% in Gen I but was first rised to 90% in the Gen V games and again to 100% in Gen VI. It was the signature move of Ekans and Arbok in the Gen I games.

Stephanie Hennen from the USA joined our Pokémon in May already with Machoke and also drew Marowak and Ekans for it in the following weeks, I look forward to see her returning for more in 2017 when we continue with the Gen II Pokémon!
“A Poison-type attack. Has a one-in-ten chance of lowering the target’s Defense”
Acid is one of the first Poison-type moves that were introduced in the Gen I Pokémon games. It deals damage but has also a 10% chance of lowering the Defense Stats of the opponent by one stage.
It works on multiple enemies since Gen III and can also lower the Special-Defense since Gen IV.

Ekans is the first Snake-like Pokémon in the Pokédex and can evolve into the Cobra-like Arbok when it reached at least level 22. Ekans is a Poison-type Pokémon and grows longer with its age.
It is a Predator like the real world snakes but it does not have the any teeth or fangs to hunt its prey.
