#103 Exeggutor used Barrage and Psychic!
Exeggutor used Barrage by Ra-ooo
Ra-ooo joined Game-Art-HQ in 2013 and became a contributor when he submitted an impressive and quite sad illustration of the Flute Boy from Zelda AlttP for the Link’s Friendlist Project in early 2014. He contributed multiple artworks to Link’s Blacklist and also a super unusual game (Super Bust A Move 3) for our Nintendo 64 Anniversary Tribute. His take on Exeggutor using the Barrage move was his first submission, followed by Dugtrio using Bulldoze.

“Several spheres are thrown consecutively at the target to inflict damage.”
Barrage is a Normal-Type damaging move introduced in Generation I. It is exclusively learned only by either Exeggute or its evolved form Exeggutor.
A salvo of spherical shapes are hurdled at the opponent for 2 to 5 turns. when it first started out in Generation I; only the first strike could land a Critical Hit. However since Generation III, each independent strike now has the chance to do so.
Exeggutor used Psychic by DrManiacal
Chris Moschler is Dr. Maniacal – sounds like it could be a line spoken in an old Slasher Horror movie trailer and his unique take on the Exeggutor made it look like it could be an enemy or boss character in a pretty cool horror game actually. Chris got my attention back in November 2015 with his tribute to The Binding of Isaac that looked similar scary and I am glad he joined this project to bring this style to our Pokemon collaboration.
You can see his gallery that is full of variation here!

“A Psychic-type attack. Has a one-in-three chance of lowering the target’s Special rating”
Psychic (Known in Japan as Psychokinesis) is one of the most popular Psychic-Type moves.
It does not only deal damage to the enemy but has a 33,3% chance to lower the Special stats/moves by one stage. Since Gen II it also has a 10% chance to decrease the Special Defense by one stage. The first Pokemon in the Pokedex that can learn Psychic through learning is the Venonat btw.
“Its cries are very noisy. This is because each of the three heads thinks about whatever it likes”
Exeggutor is a Grass/Dragon-Type Pokemon evolved from Exeggute when exposed to a Leaf Stone. unlike Exeggute which is a collection of eggs (actually seeds); Exeggutor now has a complete body from which three egg like heads sprout from. (It doesn’t make it any less bizarre though.)
The heads however don’t share a brain as they think independently from one another. As a result the heads speaking at once can cause a dissonant cluster of noises. If one head falls off, it will become an Exeggute having five other eggs/seeds join it in unison.
It is definitely a sentient plant if anything. In Pokemon Moon/Sun in the Aeloa region, the vast amounts of sunlight cause it to grow five times it normal height. As a result its neck grows very long too. Truly one of the weirdest Pokemon ever conceived.
