#129 Magikarp used Splash and Tackle!
Magikarp used Splash by SuperEdco
Eric DeSantis is not only a very active part of our community but also the artist behind the Logo for our Pokemon Tribute, the Website and many other art collaborations, he participated in Link’s Blacklist as well as in our fighting game related projects and is one of the guys behind the Rockabilly Beatdown game.
Beside the logo, Eric was the first who claimed one of the two Magikarp spots and later also took Kabuto and Starmie when we searched for artists to take the last available Gen I Pokemon.
I recommend you to have a look at his gallery on dA which is full of gems to discover!

“A move that involves only flopping and Splashing around in front of the opponent. It has no effect”
If Broken Matt Hardy would talk about Pokemon and their moves he would call Splash just: OBSOLETE! I guess.
This move is there since Gen I and is classified as a Normal-Type Move and..it has no effect. Well, maybe he would call it wonderful or brilliant too.
Magikarp used Tackle by SilverTheCreator
SilverTheCreator was one of the first artists on board our Pokémon Tribute that were not a part of the GA-HQ community before, and we look forward to her future contributions, her take on Bulbasaur was her last of six submissions to this project btw. Check out her whole portfolio at her gallery here!

“A Normal-type attack. Many Pokémon know this attack right from the start”
The Tackle is one of the base moves of Caterpie and deals damage without any side effects. In the Gen V. games its power and accuracy stats were a bit buffed. Over 100 Pokémon can learn it through levelling. It is amazingly effective for such a small guy like the Caterpie.
“Whoever its opponent, and however horrible the attack it receives, all it does is Splash around”
No other Pokemon was ever used for so many meme images than the mighty Magikarp.
This Water-Type Pokemon might be relative small and does not use many moves (Splash..Tackle and Flail) but it can evolve into the truly mighty Gyarados.
