Burning Force is an arcade shoot’em up by Namco. It was released in 1989 for the arcades on their Namco System 2 Board and later ported to the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis. In 2009 it received a port to the Virtual Console catalogue on the Nintendo Wii. It is a game very similar to Sega’s more popular Space Harrier and features the female main protagonist Hiromi Tengenji who had a little return as a playable character in Namco X Capcom in 2005.
