Fernandez might look silly at first… until you realize he’s as big as a skyscraper and is as hard to beat as any other boss, and that’s pretty much why I like him, he’s one of the most original bosses when compared to most. All in all, he’s surely one memorable character >3
He normally has a clueless-looking expression during the fight, which changes into a demonic one in some of his moves and winpose, and when drawing him, I wanted to kinda mix the two.
Oh, and in case you want to make a crack at the “desu” in the title, Fernandez was a “desu” spammer years before Rozen Maiden showed up, so eat your heart out Suiseiseki >D
Fernandez as well as the Sunsoft fighting game Waku Waku 7 are truly unique entities in the long history of fighting games.
The game, that was exclusive for the NeoGeo/Arcades until it was finally ported 12 years later (in 2008) for the Playstation 2 is a wacky but damn well done experience with a great cast of characters and one of the weirdest fighting game bosses ever with Fernandez. It frequently says Desu (Death) during the matches. Yes even when it is just walking around.
This game deserved a sequel.
