The Street Fighter Anniversary Art Collaboration by Game-Art-HQ: Street Fighter (1987)
The first Street Fighter was released in August 1987 for Arcades and introduced some of the fighting game basics already that are a standard till today. Only Ryu and Ken were playable though, all others were unplayable CPU controlled enemies. Geki, Joe, Lee, Mike and Retsu were only mentioned in some of the later games but actually they never became playable characters. Only Ryu, Ken and the Street Fighter I Boss, Sagat returned in the sequel. Interestingly, the co-director of the game, Takashi Nishiyama left Capcom to work on games like Fatal Fury for SNK.
