Richard Meyer from Fatal Fury and KOF in the GA-HQ Video Game Character DB
Richard Meyer is one of the cpu-controlled characters in the fighting game Fatal Fury (1991) by SNK. While he was mentioned in some of the later Fatal Fury games and made a few background cameo’s in the Fatal Fury and King of Fighters games he became a playable character for the first time in The King of Fighters Maximum Impact 2 (2006), also known as KOF 2006. where he is one of the unlockable bonus characters. Richard Meyer is probably the first fighting game character that used Capoeira, long before it became more popular thanks to Eddy Gordo in Tekken 3. While he is one of the characters the player has to fight against in the first Fatal Fury, Richard is actually one of the protagonists in the series and manages the Pao Pao Cafe in South Town. |
