Spider-Man from the Marvel Comics & Movies in Video Games

Spider-Man is one of the most popular Marvel superhero characters since his debut in the comic “Amazing Fantasy #15” in August 1962. Together with Batman from DC he holds the record for being the main protagonist in the most movies and video games about superheroes so far. He is also one of the first superheroes that got their own video game. Spider-Man for the Atari 2600, also developed by Atari saw Spider-Man fighting the Green Goblin already 36 years before Spider-Man by Insomniac Games became one of the most successful Playstation 4 games in 2018. Spider-Man got games on almost every video game console since the Atari 2600, he is also playable in around ten fighting games and is even a guest character in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 (2001). |
