Espeon used Morning Sun by Kosmotiel

Kosmotiel from Australia is a big Nintendo fan and a part of this community since years. Her contributions for our first Pokemon Art Tribute were the mighty Articuno and the fierce Gengar. She continued to be a part of our Pokemon Tribute in 2017 and contributed her takes on Natu and Espeon.

Have a good look at her whole gallery at dA!

Morning Sun

“Allows HP to be restored by the morning sunlight. In battle, half the user’s max HP is restored.”

Introduced in Generation II as the signature move of Espeon, Morning Sun is a Normal-Type non-damaging move that allows the user’s Pokemon to heal in accordance with the time of day.

While during the day and under certain conditions 1/2 the user’s HP is restored; twice that amount can be restored in the hours of the morning.

The Morning Sun was used by currently three Pokemon in our Project but Ponyta from Gen I was the first one.

Espeon used Psyshock by Muns11

Muns11 from Poland made her Game-Art-HQ debut with her beautiful take on the Espeon as a part of our Gen II Tribute in April. She was one of the first of the new artists that submitted their pieces. Her focus is rather on drawing animals and animal-like creatures like the Pokemon.

You can also find a very nice take on Freya from Final Fantasy IX in her gallery!

Psyshock

“The user materializes an odd psychic wave to attack the target. This attack does physical damage.”

A damage-dealing Psychic type move, Psychock doesn’t have a base power of attack but instead inflicts damage according to the user’s special attack and the opponent’s defence, similarly to the moves Secret Sword and Psystrike.

It can be taught to Pokemon using TM03 as well as naturally being learnt by a number of Psychic Pokemon. If used in a Pokemon contest, Psychock is considered to be very beautiful.

The Espeon is the first Pokemon in our Tribute that used the Psychock actually!

#196 – Espeon

“It can instantaneously sense its opponent’s movements by feeling air currents with its fine fur.”

Espeon is one of the many Pokemon that Eevee can evolve into, Espeon in particular being achievable when levelled up during the day with high friendship.

The gem on Espeon’s head boosts its psychic powers and it uses this to protect potential trainers from harm. It’s rare to find an Espeon in the wild, they are usually found in more urban areas. It is known as the Sun Pokemon and shares this category with that of Sunflora and Volcarona.

In the Pokemon movie, ‘Pokemon Heroes: Latios & Latias’, one of the villains, Annie owned an Espeon. She used it to fight against Ash and Latias at the start of the movie in order to try and capture Latias alongside her partner, Oakley with her Ariados.
