#339 Barboach used Future Sight and Spark in our Pokemon Generation III Art Tribute
Barboach using Future Sight by SuperEdco
Eric DeSantis is not only a very active part of our community but also the artist behind the logo for our Pokemon Tributes, the Website, and many other art collaborations, he participated in Link’s Blacklist as well as in our fighting game related projects and is one of the guys behind the Rockabilly Beatdown game.
Beside the logo, Eric participated also with three Pokemon in our first part of the project last year and continued his efforts with Natu in 2018 and Zangoose and Barboach in our Gen III Tribute, he is also a part of the Gen IV Project already.
I recommend you to have a look at his gallery on dA which is full of gems to discover!
Future Sight
“Two turns after this move is used, a hunk of psychic energy attacks the target.”
Future Sight is a Psychic move with a huge base power of 120. It can only be learned by a handful of Pokemon naturally or through egg moves, no TM was provided for this move.
It’s incredibly powerful and can bypass Protect, Detect and Wonder Guard and can even knock out an opponent that has used Endure! Despite this however it cannot take out a Pokemon with a Focus Sash in one hit.
Xatu was the first Pokemon in our project that used the Future Sight!
Barboach using Spark by brzozod526
Devin Brzozowski-Greenwood from Canada is one of the artists that joined our Pokemon Tribute & Game-Art-HQ in 2018 and started with Gen III! And he started with not less than five of the lovely Pokemon, more than any other new people on board last year!
Have a good look at his whole gallery here!
Spark
“The user throws an electrically charged tackle at the target. This may also leave the target with paralysis.”
Spark is an Electric-type attack move introduced in Generation II. It has a base power of 65, an accuracy rating of 100 and if it the move hits the target, there is also a 30% chance of paralyzing them as well.
#339 Barboach
“Its body is covered with a slimy film. The film acts as a barrier to prevent germs in muddy water from entering the Barboach’s body”
Barboach is a dual-type Water/Ground Pokémon and can evolve into Whishcash if you level it up to at least lvl 30.
While it looks very frail and small even by fish Pokemon standards, Barboach’s true potential can be discovered when trained properly and ultimately evolve into it’s more aggressive and powerful form Whiscash. It’s sinewy body also helps it navigate quickly and effortlessly through muddy waters and tight crevices. More so the barbels on it’s face act as radar to help it feel its way through dark murky water without relying on sight.
The Barboach also has one disgusting but helpful feature of its body. It can produce mucus that prevents bacteria from entering it’s immune system. It must always remain in it’s watery environment however as it will dry out if exposed to land. It’s future form of Whiscash can survive much more out of water if only temporarily, and can amplify its Ground Type moves to near legendary proportions.
