#354 Banette used Curse and Shadow Ball in our Pokemon Generation III Art Tribute
Banette using Curse by Chari-Artist
Kay, aka Chari-Artist is a cool artist from Canada who joined the Game-Art-HQ community back in 2014 already and became an important part of our big Legend of Zelda Art Collaboration, the Link’s Blacklist. In 2016 he joined our first Pokemon Tribute and continued to participate in the Generation based projects every year. He just claimed some of the Pokemon for our upcoming Gen IV Tribute already :- )
Have a good look at his whole gallery here!
Curse
“Raises Attack and Defense at the expense of Speed. It works differently for the Ghost type.”
Curse does not deal any damage directly but the cursed Pokemon will use 25% of its maximum HP after every round. It also has negative aspects for the Pokemon using it as well, Ghost Type Pokemon will lose the half of their maximum HP, other types will see a speed drop but actually an increase of their defense and attack stats.
If powered up by a Ghostium Z into Z-Curse, the Ghost-type user restores all of its HP.
Banette using Shadow Ball by AClockworkKitten
Pusa from the United States joined our Pokemon Tribute I in summer 2016 as one of the last artists but drew not less than three beautiful illustrations for it already. Starting with Goldeen, Diglett and finally a super cool Exeggcute one. Following were Hoppip, Bellossom and Yanma for our Gen II Tribute. In 2018 she contributed even four Pokemon with Skitty, Mudkip, Banette and Jirachi!
I recommend to visit her whole gallery to see many more cute artworks 🙂
Shadow Ball
“The user hurls a shadowy blob at the target. This may also lower the target’s Sp. Def stat”
The Shadow Ball attack was introduced in the Generation II Pokemon games and is a Ghost-Type move that deals not only damage but also has a 20% chance of lowering the opponents Special Defense stats by one stage.
If a Pokemon has the Bulletproof ability they will not be affected by a move such as Shadow Ball.
Five Pokemon are using the Shadow Ball in our Project currently, the first one was Kadabra from Generation I!
Banette
“An abandoned plush doll became this Pokémon. They are said to live in garbage dumps and wander about in search of the children that threw them away”
