#360 Wynaut used Splash and Destiny Bond in our Pokemon Generation III Art Tribute
Wynaut using Splash by birdmir
Birdmir from the USA is a very active artist that always wanted to join one of the video game art collaborations on dA and finally got her chance with ourPokémon tribute. Metapod was the first submission by her in 2016 and she returned with three excellent takes on Aipom, Forretress and Hitmontop for our Gen II Pokemon Project in 2017. In 2018 she returned with the cute Wynaut using one of the most effective moves of them all!
You can see a lot of even more nice art in her gallery on dA here!
Splash
“A move that involves only flopping and Splashing around in front of the opponent. It has no effect”
If the Professional Wrestler Matt Hardy would use his “Broken” Gimmick and talk about Pokemon and their moves he would call Splash just: OBSOLETE! I guess.
This move is there since Gen I and is classified as a Normal-Type Move and..it has no effect. Well, maybe he would call it wonderful or brilliant too.
Important Update! – You can Power-Up Splash to Z-Splash if you use Normalium Z on it since Generation III. This will rise the Attack stats by the user by three stages!
Wynaut using Destiny Bond by TheUltione
The Ultione or just called Ulti is a big part and one of the helpers behind the scenes on Game-Art-HQ since years now. Be it through looking over the submissions we are getting on DeviantART or through the “5 Video Game Fan Arts of the Week” Journals in our Group by Ulti. But this take on Whismur is finally the first drawn submission by him for one of our art collaborations, followed by Wynaut 🙂
Please check out his whole gallery here!
Destiny Bond
“When this move is used, if the user faints, the foe that landed the knockout hit also faints.”
Destiny Bond is a non-damaging Ghost-type move first introduced in Generation II. While this move is active, the opponent will faint as well if they successfully land a hit that knocks out the user. Up until Generation V, the attacking Pokemon would faint first before the user.
From Generation V onward, the user would faint first before the attacker. This move is used by Cacturne, Qwilfish and also Wynaut in our Generation III Tribute.
Wynaut
“Wynaut gather on moonlit nights to play by squeezing up against each other. By being squeezed, this Pokémon gains endurance and is trained to dole out powerful counterattacks”
