#366 Clamperl used Aqua Ring and Hail in our Pokemon Generation III Art Tribute
Clamperl using Aqua Ring by KayVeeDee
KayVeeDee draws wonderful stuff since years already (Have a look at her gallery here) but her take on Weepinbell was her first and so far only venture into a GA-HQ Project back in 2016. She returned in both 2017 and 2018 with new contributions to our Pokemon Generation based Collaborations! And I look forward to see more of that beautiful art for these projects!
Aqua Ring
“The user envelops itself in a veil made of water. It regains some HP every turn”
While it does not deal any damage, the Aqua Ring can be a very useful move that works like a Regen in Final Fantasy and heals around 1/16 of the HP of the casting Pokemon at every turn.
Aqua Ring was introduced in the Gen. V Pokemon games. Currently five of the Pokemon in our Tribute are using it 🙂
Clamperl using Hail by SilverTheCreator
SilverTheCreator was one of the first artists on board our Pokémon Tribute in 2016 that were not a part of the GA-HQ community before. She participated with not less than six submissions Including Bulbasaur and Magikarp in 2016 and continued with Sunflora in our Gen II Tribute and another two with Grumpig, Clamperl and Luvdisc in our Gen III Tribute!
Check out her whole portfolio at her gallery here!
Hail
“The user summons a hailstorm lasting five turns. It damages all Pokémon except the Ice type”
Hail is non-damage dealing Ice-Type move that was introduced in the Pokemon Generation III Games. It summons a Hailstorm that will damage all non Ice-Type Pokemon for five turns. It can also be powered up with the use of Icium-Z to Z-Hail. Clamper is the first Pokemon that used this move in our big Pokemon Tribute!
Clamperl
“Clamperl grows while being protected by its rock-hard shell. When its body becomes too large to fit inside the shell, it is sure evidence that this Pokémon is getting close to evolution”
