 The Gekko , a possessed frog is one of the Mini Bosses in Zelda: Majora`s Mask and is riding the Snapper, a turtle like creature.

Vertuchou from France, the artist behind our first Gekko entry for Link`s Blacklist writes

“At first I thought I would make something very cool with a really bad guy, but finally i took a Gekko on his Snapper, from Majoras Mask. Gamers will know how easier was that mini boss XD and how stupid he looked with his snapper XD”

This is the Gekko and his Snapper, those two appear 2 times in the Legend of Zelda: Majora`s Mask and are guarding the Woodfall and the Great Bay Temple.

When Link defeats them, they turn into 2 of the frogs from Don Gero’s Frog Choir

The second Gekko in the game fights Link without a Snapper, instead he is using a giant bubble to trap Link inside of it

Gekko & Snapper formed one of the funniest Minibosses in the Legend of Zelda Games I think and so it was not surprising that this weird pair was one of the first Zelda: Majora’s Mask bosses claimed for Link’s Blacklist and was again drawn now as part of our Link’s Blacklist 2015.

Our second illustration of the two was drawn by ShawnnL from Singapore who joined Game-Art-HQ as an active member just around a half-year ago when we had an Art Challenge about video game villains and he participated with Andross from Star Fox.
