Alex Kidd was the first attempt by Sega to have an own Mascot Character and Game Series to challenge Super Mario on the NES.
The first game was even installed on the most revisions of the Master System.
While it was a really fun game it never gained real momentum though..and Sega came up with a lot more successful character with Sonic.
Daniel Vendrell continued his series of illustrations of long gone days here with his Alex Kidd in Miracle World illustration which is most likely the most detailed artwork ever done for this game.
