Mileena is one of the two playable female ninjas from Mortal Kombat II and returned in around every second installment of the series. Since 2004 and Mortal Kombat Deception she gained a high popularity boost though and was the first female video game character ever featured in the Playboy Magazine. This popularity was again rising a lot when she was shown in her Mortal Kombat 9 designs. Till today Mileena is one of the most drawn fighting video game characters ever, artists are sometimes faithful to the source designs in the games while they also try out a ton of different concepts to redesigns her super sexy and crazy character. Mileena is also very often cosplayed, and while there is an official costume, many talented fans created awesome own costumes. |
