Our Virtual Worlds – An Art Tribute to the Worlds of Video Games
Stage 1-1 in Super Mario Bros.? The endlessly seeming grasslands of Shadow of the Colossus?
The crazy stages of a Sonic Game? The dark dungeons of Diablo II?
They are all looking very different, but they have one thing in common, being places we liked to visit and visit again. Sometimes because the clever and fun stage design, sometimes because they are so big and interesting that we explored every corner of them.
While hundreds of fan art pieces are created and shared every day on the Internet, it is relative rare that we illustrate the stages, the virtual worlds instead of the characters of a video game. In our art tribute and project, “Our Virtual Worlds” we asked our community about changing that a bit and you can see the impressive results here now in this art gallery about the video game worlds and stages which impressed our members.
To see the artworks and also read about the drawn, modelled and even baked places, simply click on the thumbs below, thats all..have fun browsing through this gallery which shows some of the many many different “Virtual Worlds” we loved to explore and visit!
A giant thank you goes to all the artists who participated in this unusual video game related art collaboration by Game-Art-HQ!
This is just the main gallery for the project now, the artworks and their articles are getting written and published in the next 2-3 weeks
