The GA-HQ Mortal Kombat Series Art Tribute!

Enjoy what over 250 artists from around the world created here to tribute the Mortal Kombat series with their art!
Current status: around 270 of 300 possible artworks were drawn which are showing the Mortal Kombat characters in their different designs
Last year the Mortal Kombat Tribute kontinued, while it was not updated here on Game Art HQ, over 100 new artworks were created, these will be added to this gallery now one after another, while the original MK Project was only about all playable characters, the new version will feature all characters in all their different designs as well + feature a much improved layout for each artwork
Currently, around 20 of the Mortal Kombat characters are not yet claimed and drawn in specific designs, i guess it might take up to 3-6 more months till this project is komplete.

Mortal Kombat “Immortal” Art Tribute Round II – June 2012-???
The Mortal Kombat Tribute continues with the big target to get al the different versions of all characters drawn, the number of submitted artworks raised from 80 to over 270 already.
Today on the 30th December 2013 around 10 spots are still available we expect this project to be finally finished in Februar or March 2014.
Mortal Kombat “Immortal” Project – Round I September 2011- January 2012
This is a very big Fan Art Project in the Making, it will grow with every entry submitted by the Artists who claimed a Character from the games
This fan art project was announced on September 12. 2011. The first entry (Cyber Sub Zero) was finished on september 14 already.
The last Character was claimed on 03.10.2011, however over 10 artists didnt submit their works, but other ones took over the missing characters
The last submitted entry was meat on the 31th january 2012
40 entries were drawn on 06.10.2011, 3 weeks after the project was announced, a week later it was clear that 6 artists werent drawing the characters they claimed, these 6 will never participate in a GA-HQ Project or Contest again.
