Mileena is one of the new characters in Mortal Kombat 2 and is officially known and treated as the twin sister of Kitana. Both are serving the Outworld Emperor Shao Kahn as Assassins. She has the order to take an eye on Kitana due to her being seen talking to a certain Earthrealm Warrior. Mileena however has her own plans too and attacks Shao Kahn and his minions at the right moment to rule the realm together with Baraka, a strong and wild Tarkatan warrior. This story never made it into canon however and in later games, she and Baraka are mortal enemies. ~ Mileena had a very strong debut in the Mortal Kombat series, her special moves like the Teleport Kick, the flying Sai’s which did not need an extra command input, and her rolling attack made her a strong opponent and later a fan-favorite character. During the series, her character and look changed and she even made it into Playboy Magazine as the first videogame female ever in 2004! ~ Mileena in her classic Mortal Kombat 2 design was drawn by Cruz Peña from the USA as one of the first submissions after we continued our big project in June 2012 with the goal to get over 300 different MK character designs drawn. After the many sexy fanart Mileena got in 2011 thanks to MK9, Cruz wanted to portray her in a more mysterious and sad illustration. Which was a nice change.
