Mortal Kombat Art Tribute: Noob Saibot from Mortal Kombat II
A New Challenge Awaits! |
Fight Noob Saibot in Goro’s Lair from MK1 |
Don’t lose to a Noob 🙂 |
Noob Saibot debuted as one of the three secret and unplayable characters in Mortal Kombat 2. To find him, the player had to win 50 rounds in a row in the 2 player mode, a winning streak which would be very hard to get in the arcades except someone would really be that good as a player. Noob Saibot challenges the player in Goro’s Lair from Mortal Kombat I and due to Noob being completely black, it is an additional challenge to even see him sometimes due to the dark background. Noob Saibot has all the special moves from Scorpion but is around 2X faster than a normal character ..if you are able to beat this guy..you are really good. Noob Saibot did not have an own story for a long time in the Mortal Kombat games, there was a bit in UMK3 / MK Trilogy but it really started when his history was revealed in Mortal Kombat: Deception, 11 years later in 2004. Noob Saibot is a wordplay on the names by the two Mortal Kombat creators Ed Boon (Noob) (Noobde on Twitter) and John Tobias (Saibot)
Noob Saibot in his classic Mortal Kombat 2 design was drawn for the Mortal Kombat Tribute by Carlos Corea |
