Quan Chi, one of the antagonists in Mortal Kombat 4 and also Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero returned to form the Deadly Alliance with Shang Tsung and be a bigger threat than even Shao Kahn was before. After being trapped in the Netherealm by Scorpion he escapes the Hell and stumbled upon the mummified army of the Dragon King. Together with Shang Tsung he tries to revive this army. ~ Stranded in the Netherealm, Quan Chi was persistently tormented by the ninja spectre Scorpion. But with assistance from Moloch and Drahmin, Quan Chi discovered the truth about the amulet he had stolen from the fallen Elder God Shinnok. An ancient runestone bearing the likeness of his amulet revealed new information that would enable Quan Chi to traverse the realms through a network of ancient gateways. Narrowly evading Scorpion’s wrath, he escaped the Netherealm through one of these gateways and emerged in an ancient tomb in Outworld.” ~ Quan Chi looked more like a warrior than a sorcerer in his standard costume in MKDA to make him look stronger, he also got one of the strongest weapons in the game, the two broadswords. His fighting styles are Escrima and Tang Soo Do. His Skull Fireball from Mortal Kombat 4 returns alongside a very ..weird special move..the Rising Star which did not return in Mortal Kombat 9. He also got one of the weirdest MK fatalities ever in MKDA with his neck stretcher.
