Darrius is one of the completely new characters in Mortal Kombat: Deception and while he looked a bit like Jax in his older designs, he is a totally different character and comes from the Orderrealm where he plans fights as the secret leader of a Rebellion against the established Law there. ~ I am Darrius. There are many in the Realm of Order who would call me a terrorist. But to the true patriots of Seidan, I am a hero. I fight against the rule of an oppressive regime. I am the leader of the resistance movement. Out number are ever-growing. One day I will lead the charge against the establishment. Until then, I wait and plan and scheme. ~ Darrius uses the Leopard and Shinto Ryu fighting styles, his weapons in Kombat are gauntlets. He has a funny projectile called the “Tricky Blast”. Both of his fighting styles were used by other characters in MK Deadly Alliance. Darrius from Mortal Kombat Deception was drawn by Daniel Bastidas back in 2011 when our Mortal Kombat Tribute was planned to cover only 80 artworks by 80 different artists. Till today it is the probably most detailed fan art of Darrius ever made. |
