Link`s Blacklist: Garo from the Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask

The Garo are human-like enemies from Zelda Majora’s Mask and reside mostly in the Ikana Canyon. They are the Ghosts of the Garo’s who were sent as spies against the Ikana Kingdom and commited a ritual suicide if they were captured or defeated. Now, even after the fall of the Ikana Kingdom for ages, they are still haunting the place and use two long sharp swords in battle. Link has to use the Garo Mask to summon a Gara at certain places and fight it. While the Garo Ninja’s look like humans in cloaks, they are actually empty shells, only re-animated by willpower |

To Die Without Leaving A Corpse… I chose the Garo from Majora’s Mask. I suppose they’re supposed to be creepy or scary or something in the game, but they’re kind of goofy and aren’t very good ninja if a child with a shield can beat them…. Anyway, I tried to make them more sinister and threatening and undeadish! I even made them empty robes and wrappings like Pamela’s father mentions… but then I covered everything with shadows. :\ ~ Scowlingelf is a part of Link’s Blacklist now for over a year and participated in 3 of the 5 rounds already. Every of her/his submissions is very different from the other ones that makes me always look forward to her next one and see how (s)he illustrated the enemy or boss this time. |
