Akuma / Gouki from Street Fighter in the GA-HQ Video Game Character DB
Akuma who is known as Gouki in Japan, is one of the Street Fighter characters. He was introduced as the first secret character in the series and was unlockable through a code in Super Street Fighter II Turbo. From Street Fighter Alpha 2 on forward he became a regular guy in most Street Fighter games. Akuma is the brother of Gouken and was once not the evil demonic guy. But walked the path of the “Dark Hadou” if i understood that part of the Street Fighter story right. In the games he is power-hungry and always in the mood to fight and find worthy challengers which hardly happens. There are different versions of him called Shin Akuma, Cyber Akuma, and Oni Akuma, these have their own galleries here. In this gallery, you can see official artworks and illustrations of Akuma, made by Capcom’s artists as well as fan art for him made by Game-Art-HQ Members or featured artists, Sooner or later Cosplay will be a part of this gallery as well I bet. For some reasons, Akuma is also a guest character in Tekken 7: Fated Retribution (2016). Akuma was revealed as a new Street Fighter V (2016) DLC character during the Playstation Experience in December 2016. It is the first time he got a relatively big visual design change. Akuma also returns in Street Fighter 6 (2023) as one of the DLC Characters of its first season. |
