Akira Kazama is one of the playable Rival Schools and Project Justice Characters. She made her debut in the arcade version of RS back in 1997 and is playable in two forms, her normal clothes and her motorbiker suit with a few slightly different special moves. She uses mainly Tai Ji Quan as her fighting style with the addition of someTaikyoku-ken movements. Akira is the younger sister of Daigo Kazama, and a pretty badass girl. She was supposed to be a character in the canceled Capcom Fighting All-Stars fighting game. Akira Kazama is one of the characters in the browser game Onimusha Soul too which was released in 2012. Since no new Rival Schools game was released since 2001 though, she was more or less one of the many video game characters of the past ..at least until August 2020 when Capcom showed a Stream about the future of Street Fighter V (2016) and revealed that Akira Kazama would be the first Rival Schools character ever being playable in a Street Fighter game. She will become playable in 2021 as DLC for the game. There are relatively many official artworks of her and also some beautiful fan art and cosplays too, some even from 2013 which is pretty cool considering how old and quite unknown Akira Kazama is. |
