Raziel the Soul Reaver from Legacy of Kain in the GA-HQ Video Game Character DB
Raziel is the main protagonist in the Soul Reaver games which are a part of the Legacy of Kain series. He made his debut in 1999 on the Playstation in Soul Reaver which got mostly high praise from the press as well as individual gamers who wrote about and reviewed the game. He returned in Soul Reaver 2 as well as in Legacy of Kain: Defiance and as a guest DLC character in Lara Croft: And the Guardian of Light. Raziel was once a human and fighting against the vampires in Nosgoth but was transformed into one of them which changed his personality…he evolves and gets wings which causes Lord Kain to throw him into the abyss where he gets revived as a wratih who can consume the souls of other beings. Through his adventures he has to fight Lord Kain among many other vampires and other monsters. He is a damn cool and different video game character and while there is small hope that the Legacy of Kain series will ever return to its old glory, let’s not give up yet… |
