Arc System Works was founded back in 1988 already and ported Double Dragon to the Sega Master System as their first game. They were quite unknown until they developed a new fighting game called Guilty Gear for the Sony Playstation, the game was relative successful and the sequels Guilty Gear X. Guilty Gear XX and its many updates catapulted the developers into a bigger league. Now they are mostly known for their fighting game series Guilty Gear and BlazBlue as well as other fighters like the Persona Arena fighters. They developed some of the most interesting and bizarre video game characters like A.B.A in Guilty Gear or Arakune in the BlazBlue games. |
