Video Games were once a big thing in the arcades worldwide. Beside slot machines, pinball tables and playing cards, games like Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, Pac-Man and later a ton of fighting games like Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat or Tekken and racing games like Ridge Racer, Pole Position or Sega Rally dominated the arcades. A lot of popular game characters like Mario, Ryu, Scorpion, Kazuya or Strider Hiryu were first playable in an arcade nearby before the console ports were released. Today it is a different situation and less and less new video games are designed for arcade cabinets, in 2014 the good ones can be count on 1-2 hands i bet.
