The Amphisbaena is a minor enemy in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (1997) and returned in Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (2006)

It is a monster with the upper body and head of a female human on its long tail while the monster itself moves on four legs and looks more reptilian.

It is probably based on characters from the Greek mythology like Medusa and Basilisks. There are no official illustrations or concept artworks beside the chibi-one from Portrait of Ruin available and being a minor enemy, the Amphisbaena is rarely drawn by fans as well. It was pretty cool to see this monster being a part of our Castlevania Art Collaboration.
