Video Game Characters first seen on the Sega Master System
The Sega Master System was Sega’s 8bit video game console, released in japan first as the Sega Mark III in 1985 and later worldwide with a design change and technical additions as the Master System. The console had some great games but in comparison with its direct competition, the NES it got a lot less games and many of them were not so good. Some highlights were Alex Kidd, WonderBoy and Phantasy Star. Sonic The Hedgehog 2, which introduced Miles “Tails” Prower to the series was released a bit earlier on the Master System than the 16 bit Mega Drive version. |
