Video Game Characters first seen in the Year 1990 featured on Game-Art-HQ
1990 was the year when Nintendo released their new 16bit video game console, the Super Nintendo which meant the birth of thousands of new game characters like Yoshi from Super Mario World and Captain Falcon from F-Zero . Sega developed Sonic the Hedgehog which would be released in 1991 and Capcom was working on Street Fighter II. The Game Boy got waves of games including gems like Gargoyle’s Quest and Micropose released Railroad Tycoon, the first of many simulations in the “Tycoon” series which is known till today. Final Fantasy III was released in Japan and a nice game but never made it outside Japan until the remake on DS in 2006.
