The Mortal Kombat X (MKX) Characters and their different Variations:
This variation gives D’vorah the ability to launch a crawling minion that locks down her opponent. D’vorah can then maneuver into close range and attack with relative ease |
In this variation D’vorah has the ability to summon a wasp tornado, lifting opponents into the air. She can also throw explosive bug bombs. These moves are excellent zoning tactics. Special Moves in the Swarm Queen Variation can also be used as combo openers |
In this Variation, all of D’vorah’s ovipositor attacks poison the opponent and are highly effective for rushdowns. This Variation also allows for better chip damage and tactically matches up well against strong defensive opponents. |
The Commando Variation transforms Kano into a highly-skilled grappler. He is able to counter both high and low attacks, forcing opponents to modify their tactics. Commando is all about grounding opponents and dominating them at close range. |
In the Cutthroat Variation, Kano has the ability to power up his attacks by pounding on his cybernetic heart. His knife fighting skills are also dramatically enhanced, allowing Kano to execute a number of unique kombos and attacks. |
The Cybernetic Variation unleashes Kano’s eye laser and grenade arsenal, allowing him to strike from long range, extend kombos, and defend against aerial attacks. Perfect for zoning, Cybernetic allows Kano to attack from virtually any distance. |
In her Royal Storm Variation, Kitana deploys her regal statue defensively. Kitana is able to utilize her Square Wave while airborne to escapedangerous situations and gains a reflect that bounces projectiles back to her opponent. Her Fan Lift also generates a tornado of energy that travels across the ground, allowing Kitana to lift and suspend her opponent from a greater distance. |
The Assassin Variation allows Kitana to tap into her training at Shao Kahn’s hand, turning her into a vicious rushdown kombatant. Assassin Kitana gains a parry that triggers a series of brutal backstabs to the opponent and can sharpen her bladed fans to increase their damage. She is also able to utilize her training as an assassin to quickly cover distance and acrobatically attack her victim with her Assassin Rush. |
Mournful Kitana honors Jade, her fallen best friend, by wielding her weaponry. Employing the weapons of the deceased master assassin, Mournful Kitana can throw her glaive in multiple directions from the ground or while airborne. She can guide her glaive while in flight to further confuse her opponent. Kitana also gains access to the extendable staff, allowing the use of klassik Jade special attacks. |
The Sorcerer Variation allows Quan Chi to create spell circles within the arenas. Offensive spell circles buff Quan Chi’s attacks, increasing his damage output and enhancing special moves, while defensive spell circles weaken opponents. This variation also allows for extra chip damage, allowing Quan Chi to quickly end rounds against defensive opponents. |
Warlock Quan Chi uses his dark portals to create unpredictable attacks and reach, making this Variation excellent for counter zoning and zoning mix ups. When properly timed, Quan Chi can also combine his portals with attacks to create special combo strings that send his opponents to the Netherrealm and back.
|
In his Summoner Variation, Quan Chi can summon a demonic beast from the NetherRealm to fight by his side. When deployed,Quan Chi’s minion brings an additional set of ranged attacks to his already diverse arsenal. And when summoned at the end of combos, the demonic beast gives Quan Chi additional options for post combo strings. |
Sub-Zero Grandmaster Variation In his Grandmaster Variation, Sub-Zero can generate ice clones that improve his trapping abilities. These clones freeze opponents on contact and can also be used as projectiles.
|
This Variation gives Sub-Zero the ability to create ice weapons. Armed with hammers, swords and daggers, Cyromancer is ideal for a fast paces rushdown style of play.
|
Sub-Zero Unbreakable Variation This Variation is focussed on defense. To counter rushdowns, Sub-Zero possesses the ability to create ice shields that freeze opponents in their tracks. He can also create ice armor which helps to reduce chip damage |
