Cyrax is a character from the Mortal Kombat series and debuted in Mortal Kombat 3 (1995). He returned in the Dreamcast exclusive Mortal Kombat 4 Update, Mortal Kombat Gold in 1999 and also in 2002 as an unlockable character in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. In Mortal Kombat 9 (2011) his origins and part in the story was retold and his normal human look was shown for the first time. Cyrax did not return in Mortal Kombat X (2015) but his moves were used for the new DLC Character Tri-borg. Cyrax made an appearance during the story mode of Mortal Kombat XI (2019) as an enemy but is not playable in the game as well. In Mortal Kombat 1 (2023), Cyrax is one of the Kameo fighters and is seen his classic Mortal Kombat 3 Design among variations. Cyrax was once a human assassin for the Link Kuei but got changed into a Cyborg against his will. As cyborg he has no free will anymore and follows any orders of his Lin Kuei masters. In the games he fights with the help of various weapons including grenades and also a capture-net. Since Cyrax and Sektor were yellow and red, they had the nicknames Mustard (Cyrax) and Ketchup (Sektor) Like almost all Mortal Kombat characters, Cyrax was drawn in all of his different designs for our big Mortal Kombat Art Collaboration. |
