Adam Hunter is one of the main protagonists in the original Streets of Rage (known in Japan as Bare Knuckle) released in 1991 for the Sega Mega Drive as their answer to Final Fight. He did not appear as a playable character again but plays cameo roles via special attacks and in cutscenes. Adam is also the older brother of Sammy “Skate” Hunter who was playable in the Streets of Rage 2 and 3. Adam Hunter was formerly a cop but quit his job because of the corruption of the police force. Adam was kidnapped in the back story of the Streets of Rage 2 by Shiva with the goal to lure Axel Stone and Blaze Fielding into a trap. He is the only one of the three original SoR protagonists who returns being a cop after the syndicate was defeated. Adam Hunter returned as a playable character finally in Streets of Rage 4 (2020). |
