Squall Leonhart is the main protagonist of Final Fantasy VIII released in 1999 for the Sony Playstation by Square. (Square-Enix today) Squall made it also into Kingdom Hearts (2002) and the sequel Kingdom Hearts II (2005) as a supportive but not playable protagonist with relatively minor roles. As the representative protagonist for Final Fantasy VIII, Squall Leonheart returned as a playable character in Final Fantasy Dissidia (2008) and the sequel Dissidia Duocedim 012. He is also a character in the crossover board game series Itagaki Street Special. His latest playable appearance is in the fighting game Final Fantasy Dissidia (2015) Squall Leonhart is a young student in a SEED Academy and uses a Gunblade to fight. He is not very talkative and often pisses off the other party members, especially Quistis with him being silent or saying “Whatever” often. ~ Personally, I liked Squall Leonhart a lot as the not so heroic protagonist who can be a real asshole sometimes but still has a good heart. Also, love the Gunblade weapon. |
