Wario is a very popular Nintendo character today and featured in almost all Mario Sports and other Spin-Off games since around 15 years but debuted back in 1992 as the main antagonist in Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins on the Game Boy. His unusual – for a Mario game – ability was that he had similar powers than Mario himself. Later he got his own successful Wario Land series on the Nintendo Handhelds which kinda replaced Mario Land on them. He is also the main character and theme in the WarioWare games. His latest playable appearance is in Super Smash Bros 4 the 3DS and Wii U where Wario is one of the unlockable characters. Wario is probably from Italy too, and closer relations to Mario are unknown, but unlike him, Wario is very greedy and loves gold any anything that looks precious. |
