The Blargg enemies from the Super Mario games made their debut in Super Mario World in 1990 on the Super Nintendo. They started as those dinosaur-like enemies which are able to live in Lava and lurk there to attack Mario but their design changed a lot in the later games where they often look very blog-like but are huge and still living in Lava often. The Blargg’s were often seen as enemies and sometimes just obstacles in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island (1995) and returned in all Yoshi’s Island games and also in other Mario games like Super Mario Galaxy 2. The currently last game the Blargg appeared is Yoshi’s New Island for the 3DS.
