Sonic the Hedgehog is still one of the more popular video game franchises, but damn…Sonic fans really had to suffer a lot in the last 10-13 years.
From mediocre Playstation 2 games like Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic Heroes to the terrible Sonic (2006) game and Sonic Boom last year, we really got almost no great newer Sonic games.
The only big exception was Sonic Generations I think. I read that Sega is working on a new multiplatform Sonic game though which would arrive in late 2015. Nothing of what I read is confirmed already so take it with a salt of grain but I am believing that the next Sonic game will be a good one and lead the series into the right direction again.
Speaking about good things, this Sonic fan art which was made in 2013 already is damn cool, I loved the dynamic in it as well as the colors. It was made by Eduardo “Edsfox” Domínguez S. from Mexico who created it as an exercise for a Photoshop class actually.
