Sonya Blade is one of the playable recurring characters and protagonists in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. She debuted in the first Mortal Kombat (1992) and returned in almost all sequels and the Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks (2005) spinoff, the last game in which Sonya is playable is Mortal Kombat X, released in 2015. She was married to Johnny Cage and gave birth to her daughter Cassie Cage. She is working as a special forces member and fights on the side of Earthrealm against the big threats like Shao Kahn and Shinnok as well against criminal organizations like Kano and his Black Dragon clan. In Mortal Kombat XI (2019) she actually died, but that does not mean a lot in the Mortal Kombat Series. |
