Captain Commando from Capcom in the GA-HQ Video Game Character DB
Captain Commando is the main protagonist and name giver for the beat’em up Captain Commando by Capcom. The game was first released in 1991 for the arcades and later ported to the SNES and a couple of years later also to the Sony Playstation. Captain Commando went a lot more popular when he was one of the playable character in the crossover fighting game Marvel vs. Capcom (1998) though. He returned in Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (2000) as one of the unlockable characters and was also one of the playable protagonist in Namco x Capcom (2005) , a strategical RPG that was released in Japan only for the Playstation 2. Crimson Viper, one of the new characters in Street Fighter IV uses many special moves that are very similar to those of Captain Commando. |
