The RPG Video Game Art Challenge on Game-Art-HQ: Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden
Barkley: Shut Up and Jam Gaiden is a super fun free game that was made by hobby game developers that formed a small team. I found it damn cool that Fischhead decided to use this pretty unknown title for our RPG Art Challenge, and the submission was one of the funniest ones. He wrote the following to describe his own experiences with the game: A friend of mine told me about Barkley: Shut Up and Jam Gaiden a couple of years ago and I absolutely loved it. It’s a perfect parody of video game RPGs, and much less trouble to play. Back in highschool I played a ton of RPGs, but these days I don’t have 100 plus hours to sink into a single story that will probably make as much sense back-wards as it does forwards. If you are, or ever have been an RPG fan, I highly recommend this game. It’s free, funny, doesn’t take long to beat, and you don’t need to know a dang thing about basketball to understand it. You won’t be grinding for hours and hours because enemies don’t respawn, which makes everything MUCH more manageable. Fight everyone and you’ll breeze right through, sidequests and all. talesofgames.com Face T-Rex Barkley! Conquer the Ghost Dad! Save Neo New York and your son, Hoopz!
