Chameleon is a playable character that only appeared in the Playstation, Sega Saturn and PC versions of Mortal Kombat Trilogy (1996) first and had to be unlocked via a cheat code. In Mortal Kombat Armageddon (2006), a game that can be seen as the 2nd MKT game, Chameleon was available from the get go, had a new unique visual design and also an own ending. Chameleon can use the special moves of the classic male Ninjas in Mortal Kombat and is changing his colors frequently during a fight. It is possible to play as Chameleon via a Game Genie cheat device in the Genesis version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, this can be taken as a hint that he was once planned to be introduced before Mortal Kombat Trilogy. It is unknown if Chameleon will be part of the Mortal Kombat Series again, originally he was not planned to return in MK Armageddon, but due to big fan demands they included him eventually. |
