Diddy Kong is a playable protagonist that debuted in Donkey Kong Country (1994) as the sidekick of Donkey Kong and returned in the sequel DKC2: Diddy’s Kong Quest (1995) as the main protagonist. Diddy Kong got his own kart racer game with Diddy Kong Racing (1997) and made also many appearances in Super Mario crossover games including the Mario Kart series and Super Smash Bros. Diddy Kong was developed by Rare Ltd when they were still independent, but the Donkey Kong Country Copyrights always belonged to Nintendo. |
