Gai Tendo from Buriki One and KOF in the GA-HQ Video Game Character DB
Gai Tendo is the protagonist of Buriki One (1999) a 3D fighting game by SNK that was never ported to a console. He became also a striker in The King of Fighters’99 Evolution and KOF 2000. In 2005 he made a return as a guest character and possible mid-boss in The King of Fighters XI. He is unlockable and playable there, his moveset from Buriki One was changed a lot to fit in a 2D fighting game. Gai Tendo’s design was probably a tribute to Kazushi Sakuraba, a real life MMA fighter from Japan. |
