Hayate from Street Fighter EX in the GA-HQ Video Game Character DB
Hayate is a playable character in Street Fighter EX2 (1998) who was excluded in the arcade update Street Fighter EX2 Plus (1999) but was again playable (as an unlockable character) in the Playstation version of the game. He is a Japanese swordsman who sealed away the demon Orochi but almost nothing about his background story and reasons to be in the game was ever shared by Arika. He uses a Katana sword for most of his special attacks. A descendant of Hayate from SFEX2 is playable in Fighting EX Layer (2017). |
