| The main character of the Street Fighter series. At first glance he looks like a typical martial artist, but beneath the surface Ryu has a fierce warrior spirit. Calm and quiet, yet courageous and tenacious. Undaunted by even the toughest opponent and gracious in victory. Ryu is forever seeking the next challenge. |
It is the 25th anniversary of Ryu, Street Fighter and the mighty Dragon Punch. So it is only appropriate that I capture this most iconic of fighting techniques. I chose to draw Ryu in motion just as he is seen in the game and incorporate it in a sort of Japanese style tattoo design. Ryu is drawn in Ink and Copics. Design edited in Photoshop. |
